All-species Update

Sawyer is growing before our eyes! At 14 weeks, he weighs 28.1 pounds. His eyes are no longer blue, but a beautiful shade of green. He knows how to sit and stay. My mom just gave me advice on how to teach him to lay down and within 5 minutes, he was doing that too! Now if only potty training was that easy! Ha ha! His favorite activities include running along the bike path, biting and playing keep-away with our flip flops. He also loves hiding under our bed (see below).

Kudzu has been his usual self lately... He's been whistling a ton! Talk about cat calls!!! He has been mocking me, saying "Come here (tongue clicking noises)." Unfortunately, Kudzu still doesn't love (or even like, for that matter) Sawyer. If let loose, he'll fly overhead squawking, looking for a good place to land. Occasionally, he attempts to wander up to Sawyer and nip at him. Just wait until Sawyer figures out that he's a hunting dog!

As for the humans...

Chris has been working hard at a concrete-cutting company here in Summerville. He seems to be enjoying it and is happy that the company had him solo in a truck within a few days! He is such a hard worker! I love him for that, and so many other reasons...

I have been spending time with my mom, since she is down here visiting. We've been shopping, to the beach and checking out different restaurants around town. I'm thankful for this visit! Being so far away from family is hard! Aside from that, I've been working on plans for next year in order to have the most stress-free time possible. I'm sooooo looking forward to teaching 8th grade ELA! The high school had its good parts, but mainly, I couldn't be happier to be out of there and back to the middle school level.

Well, that's it for now. Take care!
