I just realized that although I've been posting pictures of Emma in the "5 Months" album, I haven't posted updates here. If you're inclined, click on the link in the post right below this to check out some new pictures.
Other than that, not much is new. Chris' parents and Mom came to visit us and that was really nice. This weekend Dad and Cheryl will be here. Can't wait!
Yesterday was the 2010 Lowcountry Pet Fest. Chris, Emma and I went for a few hours. I volunteered with the Lowcountry Lab Rescue while Chris and Emma wandered around and watched some dock-diving events. We all enjoyed ourselves and I walked away with the satisfaction of getting some good leads on homes for a couple of the rescue dogs.
Another thing is that we think Emma is getting her first tooth. There is a suspicious little line on one part of her gum that wasn't there a few days ago. We're not positive, since we've never really dealt with a teething baby before, so we'll have to keep you updated on that.
Oh, and Emma is working on sitting up. Not like she can sit up from laying down, but I mean staying sitting when we put her there. Right now she can do it for a few seconds before either falling over or bending into a toe-touch position. It's cool to see her learn and try new things. I'm sure this is only the beginning!
Well, that's all for now... Time to get my mind in gear for back-to-work tomorrow...
