I'm no Martha Stewart...

I can still try! Last weekend I made a 6 layer french vanilla coconut cake for Chris. It was hard work for me, not being too familiar with the kitchen. Chris was so excited about me baking; he took me to the store and we purchased a KitchenAid mixer before I could get started. When we got home he just sat on the couch watching me bake. It was so sweet!

I won't bore you with too many details, but here's a picture of me doning the apron Elizabeth gave me at my bridal shower. Last night I also made chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies. They're so good!

You sure that is only your first cake? You look like a pro. I've seen that creative side of you becoming more evident in the last few years. It's been fun to watch. I'll just betcha there is sewing machine talent in your blood too. Oh, and Piper is sending a message . . . . . . wait, . . . about a certain litle . . . . ah yes, red coat she would like you to make for her winter wardrobe. She thinks you will sew for her if no one else! She misses jumping on your head in the morning so now she tunneling under her Mom's pillow but her tail won't fit so it has to just wag!

This is Piper. Mousey and I have been looking under all the beds for you. I can smell you in your room and I think Mommy has put you in a drawer or in the closet. Sometimes I lay under the skirt of the therapy bed watching for you to come out. Mommy comes in the room too and looks around but she doesn't look under the bed. She knows where you are I think. This morning she showed me that you are in this TV picture and you made me a cake! I can't wait to get my feet and all my whiskers in it! Mommy told me Chris took you away. I am going to do something to his shoes when he comes here!

Kathryn, this is your favorite little dog with a big, big personality. I am not a rabid raccoon either, Chris! I don't like those faces you make when you are talking about me. Kathryn and Mom are making a series of books all about me, not you! And you are going to be the bad guy in the books! I am practicing more tricks, like catching spiders. I caught one yesterday and spit it out on Mama's bare foot. I was practicing for guess who? Kathryn will love me for catching spiders and she will want to come back to our house. Today when I went outside, I rolled around on the ground and I made Mama sneeze and cough. She told me not to do that again; I won't until I come to South Carolina!
