All summer I have been tending to my pepper plant. Chris has a tomato plant that I've been watering. In early July, a tiny little pepper began growing on my plant. I was so tickled that I successfully grew a pepper in an enclosed balcony. For a while, I had my doubts that the plant would produce anything because Chris told me that the bees couldn't get through the screen to pollinate it. I'm not sure how that all works, but it might just be his excuse for why no tomatoes have sprouted on his plant.
So, two and a half months later, I have been able to "harvest" the one and only pepper from my plant. I'm happy that I can call this first attempt a success, and even more happy that I was able to keep the plant alive. I look forward to hopefully planting it at our house this fall.
