It's (kind of) fall...

I had to kick Sawyer off my laptop so I could update the blog... :)

This weekend has been quiet, but productive- just what we needed! Right now, Chris and I are both in fleece pants, with the air conditioning cranked up. We both keep saying that it feels like fall, except for the fact that it's 92 degrees outside. I'm looking forward to December when things feel more like fall! For now though, the weather is still sunny and beautiful. I'm sure we'll have many more days to go to the beach before it gets too cold...

Yesterday we went to see the house. Not much progress there, but I guess that wasn't a huge surprise. We took Sawyer again. He sure does love it! Afterwards, we took him to the dog park in town. Of course, on our way home, we had to stop at All is Well to get him a new cow knuckle. Yum! The SPCA was having a meet-and-greet while we were there. Sawyer loved seeing the other dogs. He was particularly excited about this girl. She was wearing a bandanna and had her nails painted pink! He was sad to leave, and so were we, not knowing the fate of the other dogs... Now is just not the right time for us because we have so many other things going on. I was reminded, however, of how much I love being able to spend time with those sweet animals who get so little attention at the SPCA. I resolve to make sure I visit more often to take them for walks and baths. I have been a slacker with that lately.

After taking Sawyer home, Chris and I did a little shopping (mostly window shopping) to get ideas for decorating the house..... if it ever gets here! Since we were right by Michael's, I stopped in to pick up a few things because I've been dying to try to make a wreath. Below are my results. Not bad for a first try. It may be something I'd be interested in learning how to do from scratch (actually making the wooden part of the wreath, too).

Today has been a typical Sunday. Lately we've been getting ice cream after church, but we didn't do that today because we got some yesterday :) Chris is taking a nap right now (without me asking, he folded AND put away ALL of the laundry I did)! He's tired now, ha ha! As he was laying down he requested "peanut butter and chocolate cookies," so now I'm going to search for a recipe. Wish me luck!

We miss everyone and hope you have a good week!
