On Saturday we slept in and hung around home for a while. There was plenty of picking up to do after a busy week readjusting to our fall schedule. Plus, it was nice to lay low for a little while after being on our feet for ten hours every day the past week...
Later, we took Sawyer to the beach. It was beautiful out and there were nice, big waves. Each time we take him to the beach, he loves it a little more. This time was no exception! He jumped in and out of the waves, splashing and running. He found a large piece of driftwood and presented it to Chris, obviously wanting him to throw it. Sawyer was diving into the water, even putting his head under to retrieve it! It was fun just watching him enjoy playing. Another good part of going to the beach is that Sawyer is always exhausted afterwards. He slept very soundly all the way home and all night!
On Sunday we went to church and then we went to see if there had been any progress at the house. We took Sawyer with us since the poor boy has been lonely all week. The house is looking great! Sawyer and I checked out the bathroom together...
After seeing the house, Chris and I went to our friends' house to have dinner and visit with them, since we hadn't seen them all summer. It was so nice to see Nicole and Rob! They got married in June, so they had lots of beautiful pictures to share with us. They've also been doing a lot of little projects around their home, so it was nice to see what they've been working so hard on. Also, we got to see their Rottweiller puppy, Hoss, who has gained about 75lbs since we last saw him. They also have a Bloodhound, Hank, who has about the most pathetic, lovable face ever. Too sweet!
Today we got up and did some organizing. Then we ran some errands in Summerville and got ice cream at Marble Slab Creamery. It was delicious!!! This afternoon has been very relaxing. I got a chance to talk to Erin on the phone while Chris read a book and worked on some project for school. I've been working on the computer for a bit and now Chris is making dinner. Salmon, one of our favorites! In a bit I will have to really sit down and work on some things for school this week. I hope it's a good one!
