This morning Chris woke me up at 4:30 so I could drop him off at work. He'll be working out of Savannah all week and there was no purpose in having his car sit at the shop when it could be at home. He called me a little while ago to let me know that he arrived safely. On Thursday night, he will be home, finally. Until then it's just me and the animals!
Chris did something he pretty much never does. He took a day off! Can you believe it? On Friday morning we're heading up, with Sawyer, to Lake Jocassee in the foothills. I think it will be about a 4 hour drive. There will be fishing, s'mores, waterfalls, more fishing and definitely more s'mores. It should be a great time. Let's just pray we don't run into any of the "wildlife" I've been reading about...
